I’ve been thinking about the community response to the terrible tragedy that struck the Redway/Kleinkauf family back in 2000. It’s been over 20 years, but I still remember the candlelight vigil that the Guilford residents held a few days after the news broke. The sense of unity and the overwhelming turnout made it clear that the loss was deeply felt by everyone in town. Seeing neighbors, friends, and even strangers come together in such a powerful display of compassion and support really highlighted the strength of community in times of unspeakable grief. Does anyone else here recall that vigil or other ways the community pulled together during that difficult time? It would be kind to hear about other people’s memories of how Guilford honored Kyle, Katherine, and Rachael.
