I've been thinking a lot about the bravery of Randy Gilbert in the whole Donald Miller case, and every time I do, I'm struck by just how different things could have been without his courage. Here we have a teenager—just 14—who stepped up when faced with a nightmare scenario. The way he intervened when Miller attacked his sister, Lisa, was nothing short of heroic. It’s heartbreaking to imagine the fear and chaos in that moment, but Randy’s quick actions helped save Lisa and ultimately led to Miller's arrest. It's chilling to think that without Randy, Miller might have continued his spree. I really feel for the Gilbert family and all they've been through, but I also can’t help but be grateful for Randy's bravery. Heroes don’t always wear capes, and in this case, they come in the form of a brave brother who refused to let evil win.
