I recently came across Frances Allen's case, and something that stood out to me was her strong connection to the Owensboro community. From what I've read, Frances was really involved in local events and was well-loved by those who knew her. Does anyone know if there were any community-led efforts back in 1984 to raise funds or resources to aid the search? I imagine people who cared about her would have gone the extra mile to support any initiatives. If any Owensboro locals are still around who remember those days, it would be great to hear more about the community's response at that time. It's so important to keep her story alive.
