I’ve been thinking a lot about the bravery it must have taken for those officers to apprehend Jonatan Espinoza, especially with the chaos of having someone injured and the tragic death of Arvey Cruz Ortega at the scene. It's not often you hear about officers handling an assault like that and none of them needed medical attention, which is remarkable yet harrowing. While we focus on the justice Arvey's family deserves, I hope we also acknowledge the challenging work officers do in such volatile situations. It doesn't bring Arvey back, but seeing the community and justice system work together can hopefully bring some comfort to his loved ones. My heart goes out to Dolores and their children, along with Arvey's family and friends, as they navigate this difficult time.
