I just can't shake the sadness from this senseless loss of Anaya. As someone who's really invested in promoting school safety, this case has me so frustrated about the little things that can make a huge difference. I mean, does anyone else find it deeply concerning how the whole tragedy might have been prevented with just a simple gun lock or safe storage? It's infuriating to think that a negligent mistake led to such a devastating outcome. We need to have a more serious conversation about the responsibilities of gun owners. With children in the house, shouldn't securing firearms be common sense? Especially knowing this boy had found the gun while searching for something else weeks before, I can't help but wonder how the parents didn't take action sooner. It just breaks my heart for Anaya and her family, who are left picking up the pieces. This is a call to action for everyone out there. We need better awareness and education on gun safety in homes, especially with kids around. My heart goes out to Anaya's family. Let's rally as a community to prevent this from happening again.
