I’ve been thinking a lot about the children who had to witness such a traumatic event during what was supposed to be a routine custody exchange. My heart truly goes out to them and their mother. No child should have to experience something so devastating. I really hope they have access to all the support and resources they need to process everything and begin to heal. It’s a stark reminder of how important mental health resources are, not just for those involved directly, but for the wider community too. This incident definitely has ripple effects, and I hope more conversations around mental health emerge from this tragedy.
Is anyone else thinking about how Pierce's children are coping with what they saw? I can't even begin to imagine the trauma they must be experiencing after witnessing such a horrific event right in front of their eyes. As a parent myself, my heart goes out to them and their mother. I hope they are receiving all the support and counseling they need during this difficult time. It's just so incredibly tragic, and my thoughts are with everyone affected.
