I'm still wrapping my head around the devastating loss of Jonny Adamow. I recently learned that Jonny was actually a talented artist—I had seen some of his work during a Renaissance Faire event a year or so ago without even realizing it was his. It's surreal to think that someone so passionate and vibrant could be caught up in something so senseless. His involvement in habitat restoration is also incredibly inspiring. It breaks my heart to think that someone who spent so much of their time giving back to our planet would have their life cut short in such a violent way. I'm also moved by how his family is dealing with this tragedy, especially his dad who came all the way from NYC to honor his son's memory alongside local firefighters in Seattle. That shows real solidarity and compassion. If anyone has memories or artwork of Jonny they'd like to share, it might be a comforting way to celebrate his life and keep his spirit alive. Let's continue to support his family and each other during this incredibly difficult time.

I’ve been thinking a lot about Jonny Adamow's story and how it impacts our perception of safety in public spaces. It's just so unnerving to think he was simply going about his day, appreciating life like any of us, when this senseless act of violence occurred. Capitol Hill is known for its vibrant atmosphere and community spirit, a place where people should feel secure enjoying a night out. Yet, here we are questioning how such a tragedy could unfold in a place meant for celebration and connection. Jonny's legacy as someone who gave so much to arts and nature reminds us of the amazing energy he brought into the world. It's heartbreaking to think that all his future contributions were abruptly stolen. My heart goes out to his family and friends during this unbelievably difficult time. Does anyone else feel like this incident has raised concerns about safety in the area? How do we balance maintaining a lively community hub while addressing the fear this kind of violence instills? I’m hoping we can find ways to keep our communities open and vibrant, honoring the kind of world Jonny believed in.
