Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Pradipkumar Ratilal Patel and his daughter, and something that keeps coming to mind is how utterly devastating this must be for their family, especially considering how they were still relatively new to the community after moving from India just six years ago. It makes you think about the courage it takes to start over in a new country, and how they were probably working so hard to establish a better life. It’s gut-wrenching that all of their plans have been cut short in such a senseless way. Having a relative run the store must have felt like a significant part of their journey towards achieving the American dream. I imagine his family back in India is grappling with this news too—facing the unimaginable from so far away. I truly hope they can find some comfort and support from their community during this terrible time. If anyone has thoughts or more information about how the local community is coming together or any memorials planned, I’d love to hear about it. Sending my deepest condolences to their loved ones.
