I've been following the case of Brailey Shae Blackmer and her sisters, and one thing I can't stop thinking about is the sheer courage that little Olivia must have had. She hung on for five days after the unimaginable happened. It's so tough to wrap my head around how any of these innocent children had to face such a terrifying ordeal. Olivia's fight shows us just how strong these young children really were. As the community tries to process this loss, I hope they remember the bright light that these girls brought into the world, albeit for too short a time. Their dad, Quinn Blackmer, must be feeling such a profound sense of loss. No parent should ever have to endure this. While the case might be closed from a legal perspective, the heartbreak left in its path will linger for a long time. I'm sending prayers to the family and to everyone affected. I truly hope they find some measure of peace in the days ahead.
