Has anyone else noticed how something as simple as trying to calm a situation can lead to such a tragic outcome? Learning about Kadony Robbins and how he was trying to de-escalate the altercation before he was shot just makes this entire situation even more devastating. I can't help but wonder about the pressure these young individuals must have been under, or what prompted such an extreme response. Kadony sounded like such a positive force, loved by his family and having hobbies like rapping and woodwork. The fact that he stepped in, probably out of concern for others, shows just the kind of person he was. It’s just unbelievably sad that his life was cut short this way. How can we better support our communities to prevent situations like this from escalating? I feel for Chanel Jackson and her brave stance; her strength is truly commendable.
