Hey everyone, I’ve been following Rex Johnson's case, and one aspect that really struck me was the bravery of his friend during the encounter. Imagine standing there, unable to see what's happening, but sensing the danger around you as your friend is attacked. It must have been terrifying. Rex seemed to be doing a good deed by standing with and likely guiding his blind friend, showing kindness in what turned into a completely tragic situation. My heart goes out to Rex’s family and friends. It’s unimaginable to go through such a loss, especially knowing he was trying to protect someone else. I hope that APD can find the second suspect soon. Has anyone else been following the details surrounding Rex Johnson’s tragic death? It's so upsetting to think about what his blind friend must have gone through, standing right there when everything happened. I can't even begin to imagine how terrifying and helpless that moment must have felt for him. It’s infuriating that these suspects would target someone so vulnerable with a person beside them who couldn’t even see what was happening. It just shows such a complete lack of empathy and humanity. The reports about "The Island" being a hub of illicit activity are eye-opening too—considering how it may have played a role in this terrible event. I hope the community and authorities can collaborate to make changes in areas like this to prevent more incidents like this from happening. Let’s hope APD can soon identify the second suspect in Rex’s case. His family and friends deserve justice and closure. Keeping them in my thoughts.
