Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about Xavier D. Sterling’s tragic death and something has been really getting to me. His friend Dominique Pierce mentioned that Xavier was involved in a play during his teenage years. It just shows how talented and multifaceted he was. I’ve read about veterans like him struggling to find avenues to express themselves after serving, but here was a guy who seemed to have found his niche, at least for a while.
It’s so upsetting to think that his creativity and potential were cut short. I wonder if he had plans to maybe revisit that passion for theater or if his daughters ever saw him perform in anything. Those little connections and memories can mean so much.
I hope justice is served soon for Xavier’s family, especially for his girls who will undoubtedly need to hold onto those stories and memories from others who knew him. If anyone from the Hampton area remembers seeing him in any performances or has any more memories to share, it might be comforting, not just for them, but for everyone affected. Keeping his legacy alive might help give some solace.
Stay safe out there, everyone.
