I still can’t wrap my head around the sheer tragedy of what happened to the Crossman family. I’ve been closely following news from Pawlet, and it’s really unsettling to think that something like this could happen in such a close-knit town. I’m wondering if any of you have more insight into the family dynamics or heard anything from the local community? It seems like there might have been underlying tensions, especially between Brian Jr. and his father, but it’s so hard to comprehend how it escalated to such a violent and devastating outcome. I read about the town holding a moment of silence for Brian Sr. and it breaks my heart for those who knew him as a part of the local government and as a father. It’s evident how much he meant to the community. They must be grappling with the loss of not just one family member, but three, in such a violent manner. I can’t imagine the pain Colin’s school friends and teachers must be feeling. This has really shaken everyone up and serves as a somber reminder of how fragile life can be and how important it is to support each other in times of need. If you’re from Pawlet or nearby, how is the community holding up? Are there any initiatives in place to support those affected, especially the young ones who knew Colin?

I’ve been following this tragic case since it broke, and I keep thinking about Colin. He was only 13, with his whole life ahead of him. He must have been terrified in those last moments, and it’s just so hard to wrap my head around something so terrible happening. My heart genuinely aches for his friends and classmates. I read somewhere that he loved gaming and was really passionate about basketball. Those are the years when kids are figuring out who they are and what they love. It’s just so unfair that his journey was cut short in such a brutal way. It makes you wonder about the impact on the community, especially the local schools. Are they offering counseling for the kids who knew him? I hope the town is rallying around his friends and peers, giving them the support they need. No one, especially at that age, should have to walk through the loss of a friend to violence like this. If anyone here is local, can you share if there are any vigils or community gatherings planned in his memory? Colin’s story deserves to be honored and not forgotten.
