Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of Yantese Chappell, and I just can't stop thinking about the CCTV footage (or lack thereof) in the area. It seems like in this day and age, surveillance cameras are almost everywhere, but I wonder if there were any around that could help piece together what happened. Does anyone have any info on whether the police found any usable footage, or if this part of South Dallas is lacking in surveillance? It really feels like with more eyes on the street, maybe we'd have more answers by now.
It's hard knowing Yantese's family is waiting for justice while the investigation is still ongoing. If you live around that area, maybe keep an eye out for something that could provide a new lead, or let the investigator, Detective J. Reed, know. Every little bit can help bring those responsible to justice.
Stay safe, everyone. Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight.

Hi everyone. I'm sure like many of you, I was struck by the tragedy surrounding the shooting of Yantese Chappell last month. One aspect that's been on my mind is the location of the incident. Elsie Faye Heggins Street has been noted for its past safety concerns, and it's devastating to think that it played host to yet another act of violence.
I wonder if the community or local authorities are doing anything to address the safety issues in that area after what happened to Yantese. It's essential for the neighborhood to feel secure, not just for residents, but to honor Yantese's memory, and work toward preventing such senseless acts in the future. Does anyone know if there have been any community meetings or initiatives to improve things there recently? It feels like putting our heads together can help both in healing and in action. My thoughts are with Yantese’s family and friends during this harrowing time.
