I want to take a moment to discuss the bravery of the injured man who managed to flag down help after being shot at the scene on Quinn Street. It's truly remarkable how he was able to keep going despite his injuries and ensure that someone came to assist. I can't imagine the strength it took, both physically and mentally, to do that. It's sad that the world lost Rona Paul McGirt and Christian Jordan Woods, and my heart goes out to their families. The fact that the injured individual might make a full recovery is a small piece of positive news in an otherwise tragic situation. We often talk about the suspects and their backgrounds, but it's essential to acknowledge the survivors who show incredible resilience and play key roles in uncovering the truth. They deserve our respect and support as they work through their recovery process. I'm hopeful that with the ongoing investigation, more light will be shed on what transpired. It's crucial that justice is served, not only for the victims but also for the community that is mourning and seeking answers.
