Has anyone looked into the connection between Vansickel and the "Cocaine Cowboys"? I know it's been ages, but if she was caught up with them just before she vanished, it feels like there's more to delve into. Could there be others who crossed paths with this crew and faced similar fates? Given that she was already in the middle of a high-risk lifestyle because of her job, this added layer makes her disappearance all the more suspicious. Anchorage in the late '80s must have been a complex place with everything going on, especially around International Airport Road. Curious if there were any other missing persons or criminal activities reported in that area around the same time. Feels like there’s more beneath the surface here.
Does anyone have details on the drug bust that Vansickel was supposedly involved in before she went missing? I've been trying to find more info on the "Cocaine Cowboys" connection mentioned but haven't had much luck. It seems like a huge piece of the puzzle that isn't discussed as much as it should be. Also, has there been any follow-up on whether any of those dealers had ties to Anchorage beyond that summer in '88? This part of the case just feels like it's got more layers to unravel.
Has anyone looked into the angles of Vansickel possibly being a potential witness or informant in the drug bust? It seems pretty notable that she disappeared so soon after being involved with the "Cocaine Cowboys." I wonder if there’s a connection there that hasn’t been fully explored. It sounds like those involved in the bust could have had motives to ensure certain people stayed silent. Just thinking that maybe there’s something more there related to her sudden disappearance... Anyone else see it this way, or am I reaching? Curious to hear your thoughts!
