It's always bugged me how little attention Jose Collazo's case has gotten outside of Ohio. I came across his case while researching local disappearances, and it's just so strange how someone can be so well-known in a community for walking long distances yet vanish completely. Have any of the locals in Lorain noticed renewed interest from the police or seen anything posted about him recently? I wonder if advances in search and rescue technology or renewed attention could turn up anything new after all these years. Has anyone seen any recent updates from the family or law enforcement? It seems like cases from the '80s are often forgotten unless there's a big break, but every person, like Mr. Collazo, deserves to be remembered and searched for as thoroughly as possible.
Has anyone else looked into whether Jose Collazo could have ended up outside of Ohio? I remember reading another case where a person with a similar wandering habit was found states away. I know it's been so many years and maybe all the possibilities have been considered, but if Jose liked to walk long distances, it's possible he might have kept going beyond the areas originally searched. Maybe with renewed interest and resources, there could be a renewed search in neighboring states. It's just so puzzling to think there were no clues. What do you all think?
