I've been following Gabriel's case closely, and something that's been on my mind is the issue of gun violence in apartment complexes like theirs. It's terrifying to think that a place we consider our safe haven could become a site of such horror. Gabriel was just an innocent man caught in the crossfire, and it's tragic how quickly life was taken from him. I can't imagine the pain Joana is experiencing. She and Gabriel left everything behind to create a new life in the U.S., and for it to end this way is so unfair. It makes me wonder about the security measures in place at these residential complexes and what can be done to prevent such unfortunate incidents in the future. The fact that the shooter is still out there must be haunting for her and Gabriel's family. I hope the police find some leads soon and that justice is served. My thoughts are with her and all of Gabriel's loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
