It's so incredibly sad to think about the impact this has had on the community and the families involved, especially the McFarlands. Losing young Ashly in such a tragic way is hard to comprehend. I can't even imagine the anguish they are going through, not to mention how this has likely devastated Felicia Leonard's friends and family too. What's truly perplexing is that this whole situation stemmed from Reuben Leonard's frustration over target practice—something completely legal and, for many, a normal activity. If only he'd found a healthier way to address his frustrations. This level of violence is shocking and affects everyone in the neighborhood, leaving a lasting shadow on their lives. It’s important for us as a community to surround the families with love and support during this unfathomable time.
