I’ve been thinking a lot about the role of security at venues like the BKK Lounge. It seems they really tried to prevent this tragedy from escalating, but it just wasn’t enough. It makes me wonder about the training and resources these security teams are provided. Could more have been done if they had better support or equipment? It’s a tough job to manage such volatile situations, and I can’t imagine the stress they feel knowing someone lost their life despite their efforts. My heart goes out to Ivan’s family and friends during this unimaginable time. Let’s hope the ongoing investigation brings them some peace and that we learn how to better protect everyone in similar environments.
