I can't help but feel a deep sense of sadness for Anthony's family and the community around Russell DeRitis Playground. It's a place that's supposed to be filled with laughter and life, not violence. This senseless act has really shaken everyone who uses that space and calls this area home. What troubles me even more is the thought of how this has affected the kids who might have been there or nearby when this happened. A playground should be a sanctuary for innocence and joy, not a scene of tragedy. I hope the increased focus on safety measures in our public spaces brings some level of peace and reassurance to families and residents. Also, it's distressing that there's still no clear picture of who the suspect might be. With all the surveillance technology we have, it's hard to understand how someone could vanish like that. I'm holding on to hope that the reward prompts someone to come forward with information. Anthony and his family deserve justice, and our community deserves to feel safe again.
