I’ve been thinking about how the community reacted on the day of David Smith’s murder. It makes you appreciate how people can come together in the wake of tragedy, even when dealing with such a senseless act. I’ve read that local residents provided key information that helped the police with their investigation. Knowing the suspects were caught, in part, due to the community’s vigilance is a small comfort, but it’s something. Every little piece of information matters, and seeing everyone contribute what they could to bring about justice for David is moving. My thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time. Hoping there are more leads soon to give them some sense of peace.
