Does anyone else find it odd how little information there is surrounding Randall Menard's disappearance from DeLand in 1990? What's puzzling to me is that this is a small town, and you'd think there would be more chatter or rumors even in such a close-knit community. I was looking into cold cases and came across his, and it honestly feels like he vanished into thin air. It's strange that no one seems to recall seeing anything that day, especially since it was 1:30 in the afternoon when he left his home. Has anyone here had experience with how cases from that era were handled? I wonder if there was any mishandling back when he went missing that could have affected the investigation or if there was just truly nothing there to begin with. It's sad to think about how a lack of leads can sometimes stall a case indefinitely. If anyone has more insights into the DeLand area around that time or anything about local police practices in 1990, I'd love to hear it. Randall's family deserves answers after all these years.
