Can we just take a moment to think about Steven Admire and his loved ones? His tragic loss is a deep wound for his family and community. It's unbearable to imagine the pain they're experiencing, especially since Steven was just at home, an expected safe space. I wonder if he knew Ulmer well or if this came out of nowhere for him. It’s unsettling that the warning signs were there with Ulmer but nothing seemed to prevent this nightmare. The fact that calls had already been made to the police and the eviction was in process stirs up so many emotions. What more could have been done? It's so important to discuss how community and law enforcement can intervene before it’s too late. Sending love to everyone affected by this appalling event. I hope they find strength together and that the community learns valuable lessons to prevent future tragedies. If anyone has ideas on how neighborhoods can better support each other, especially in cases of mental health and eviction, would love to hear perspectives.
