Hi everyone, I wanted to bring up something that's been bugging me about the tragic case of Nasstylejah Wilkerson's murder. What really hits hard for me is the fact that this happened right across from an elementary school. I mean, those poor kids were just out playing when everything unfolded — I can't even imagine how frightening that must have been for them. Kudos to the sheriff's deputies who were there for the DARE program and acted so swiftly to get the children to safety. With all the chaos surrounding that day and the proximity to the school, it's a relief that no other innocent lives were caught in the crossfire. It's just so baffling and sad how violence often spills into the most unexpected places, affecting those who are completely uninvolved. My thoughts go out to Nasstylejah's family and friends, and all the kids and parents dealing with the aftermath of witnessing such a senseless act. If anyone local has more thoughts on the community's response or knows about any support being offered to those affected, it'd be great to hear from you. Stay safe, everyone.
