This case really hits close to home. I grew up in Durham and the Hope Valley neighborhood has always been one of those places where people felt safe walking their dogs and letting their kids play outside. It's truly unnerving to think that such violence could erupt in a part of town known for its peace and tranquility. What's also unsettling is that John Edward Riggins II was someone who gave so much to his community. From what I've gathered, he was a really gifted music producer and was always there for his friends. Can you imagine the impact he could have had on the music scene in the future? It's such a loss for everyone who knew him and appreciated his talent. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that the police haven't made any arrests yet. I hope they're working tirelessly to get justice for John's family. I can't imagine the pain his mother, Gemina, must be going through. If anyone reading this has even the smallest tip, please, do the right thing and come forward. His family deserves closure.
