I've been following the tragic events that unfolded at Young Park, and I'm absolutely stunned by how quickly a joyful gathering turned into a scene of chaos and sorrow. My heart goes out to AJ Madrid's family and everyone affected by this senseless violence. I wanted to highlight AJ's remarkable talent and passion for baseball. It's so moving to see his teammates and coaches honoring his memory by sharing stories of his dedication on the field and his infectious enthusiasm for the game. Not only did he light up the dugout, but I've also heard he had big dreams beyond the field—dreams of engineering or becoming a YouTuber that sadly will never be fulfilled. This loss hits hard, not just because of his talent but because of the promising life and the positive impact he had on those around him. I hope the community continues to uplift AJ's family and the families of the other victims, helping to preserve their legacy in any way we can. It's heartening to see young people, teachers, and local organizations coming together to support one another, proving that love and compassion can provide some solace even in the darkest times. Let's keep these beautiful souls in our thoughts as we push for answers and justice.
