Did anyone else catch the detail about Jesse, a.k.a "Grim," being on his way to get ice for dinner when the tragedy happened? It's these small, everyday moments that make this loss feel even more painful. From what his partner Jude shared, they were gearing up for a simple night in, and that just resonates with me, as I'm sure it does with many others. The randomness of this situation—just walking down to the gas station in your own neighborhood—really stresses how nothing can ever be taken for granted. It seems like Grim was someone who just wanted to make the people around him feel good, to have a pleasant evening, and the fact that this everyday activity ended in such a senseless way is beyond upsetting. I hope that between the police investigation and community tip line, some answers come soon for his loved ones. It’s clear he touched many lives and is deeply missed.
