I’ve been thinking about the impact this tragic incident has on the Soulard Bastille community. Chuck seems like he was not just a bartender, but truly a part of people’s lives. It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that someone so loved didn’t show up for work and the worst had happened. Soulard just seems like one of those tight-knit places where everyone trusts one another and watches out for each other. It’s really awful how an act of violence can shatter a community that relies on its members for spirit and support. Sending strength to everyone at Soulard Bastille right now. ? Who’s going to be at the candlelight vigil they’re planning? I think it’d be a good way for folks to show support, share stories of Chuck, and try to find some solace in this terrible time.
