I’ve been intrigued by the note found in Carolyn’s car that mentioned a trip to Los Angeles. Does anyone else think it seems out of place? Carolyn was last seen at Omar's and was reportedly planning on heading home afterwards. The note makes me wonder if someone else could have placed it there to throw off the investigation initially. It's interesting that the car showed no signs of disturbance yet claims of a stranger confronting Dennis and Carolyn complicate the story. While Smith's involvement seems cut and dried due to the blood and his subsequent confession, the note seems like a significant but overlooked piece of the puzzle. What's your take on this angle? Could this point towards other potential involvement, or is it merely a red herring?

Does anyone else find it strange that there was a note in Carolyn's car about a trip to Los Angeles? I mean, everything else about the case kind of makes sense in a tragic way, but this detail really sticks out to me. If Dennis Smith was planning to harm her from the beginning, why would there be a note that hints at her planning a trip? Could someone else have placed it there to throw investigators off, or was it just a random coincidence? It's one of those loose ends that makes me feel like there's more to the story. Anyone have thoughts or remember similar details from other cases?

Did anyone else notice the strange circumstances around Smith's statements after Carolyn disappeared? It seems really odd that he initially claimed they were confronted by a stranger when there’s no other evidence or witness accounts to back that up. I mean, it’s possible he was just trying to deflect suspicion, but did anyone ever investigate the possibility of this “stranger”? It just seems like such an unusual piece of the puzzle, and yet it feels like it got overshadowed once they found Carolyn's blood in his truck. I wonder if there were any efforts to confirm if anyone else saw or heard someone else in that area besides Smith and Carolyn.
