Has anyone else been thinking about the role of domestic violence in this horrific case? Briana seemed like such a devoted mother and community advocate, yet was trapped in such a controlling relationship. I'm heartbroken for her and the girls. It’s just so devastating that even her intentions to file for divorce didn’t bring her the safety she needed. I can’t stop wondering how we, as a community, can better support people in similar situations before it’s too late. This case reminds me of how important it is to be vigilant and supportive of friends and neighbors who might feel isolated or trapped. What more can we do to help prevent such unimaginable tragedies? My thoughts are with those who knew and loved Briana and her girls during this excruciating time.
