I’ve been following the Kevin Daniels case in Chicago, and one aspect I can’t stop thinking about is the timing of the incident. 11 a.m. doesn’t exactly scream “typical” timing for a crime like this. It's broad daylight, and I can't help but wonder what led to such a brazen act during a time when there’s likely more potential witnesses around. It makes you think about how these reckless acts of violence are affecting neighborhoods like Englewood and the level of boldness some people have these days. My heart goes out to Kevin’s family; I can’t imagine the pain and confusion they must be feeling, not knowing who did this or why. They deserve answers, and hopefully, the community will step up with any info to help solve this case.
