It's truly devastating to read about Carl Phillip Marder-Grant's tragic death and the circumstances surrounding it. I've been thinking a lot about the toll this must be taking on his family, especially his young daughter, Leilani. She's going to grow up without her father, which is a loss I can't even begin to imagine. It's also really concerning to consider the role that gang violence played in this. It makes me wonder about how the community can come together to prevent this from happening to other families. It shouldn't take a tragedy like this to prompt change, yet here we are. I hope that the legal proceedings bring some sense of justice for Carl's family, but the void left by his absence will always be there. Sending all the strength and support to his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
