I wanted to share some thoughts about the impact Chad Perry had on his local community in Cowden. From everything I've read and heard, it seems like Chad was a beacon of kindness and positivity. It’s moving to see how much he focused on helping others, whether it was through his work at Eastern Illinois University or his service in the National Guard. I came across a story from a former student who mentioned how Chad's encouragement made a huge difference in their academic journey and personal life. It's those small moments of support that truly define a person's legacy. It's devastating that such a vibrant life was cut short, and I'm sure the investigation will piece together what happened on that tragic day. My heart genuinely goes out to his family and the friends he left behind, who are undoubtedly grappling with such a profound loss. It’s clear he made a lasting impression on many people, and his loss is being felt deeply across the entire community.
