I was reading about Vicsael Plata’s tragic passing, and my heart really goes out to his kids and family. It’s incredibly sad to think about the struggles someone might be facing alone. One thing that’s been on my mind is the ripple effect on his community, especially his children. They’re so young and now have to navigate the world without their father. It's important for those close to this situation to feel they can lean on the community for support, not just now but in the long term as well. I’m so glad there’s a GoFundMe to help with the immediate financial burden, but I’m hoping they have access to support groups and counseling to help them heal. If anyone has experience with support resources in LA, maybe drop a comment? Every bit of insight can help during such a tough time.
