I miss you so much Michael!! I am having a extremely hard time with this, I dont know what to do, I'm crying every single day, my appetite is not good at all, all I do is think about you, you have taken over my entire mind. I wish this never happened to you, I love you more than you would ever know, this has broken my heart in pieces. I will never forget you!! Love you forever!! forever heartbroken.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the ShotSpotter tech since Michael Coleman’s tragic death. It's eerie to think that technology is constantly listening for gunshots. It's awful that we've come to need such tools, but I'm grateful it alerted police so quickly. It’s clear more needs to be done to address violence in the area; however, knowing that ShotSpotter played a role in the police's rapid response gives me hope for future prevention. It's devastating for the Coleman family and everyone who knew him to go through this, and I truly hope they find peace and justice soon. How many more lives need to be lost before real change is made? Sending all my strength and positivity to Michael's loved ones during this unimaginably difficult time.
I've been deeply following the tragic case of Michael Coleman, and something that has been weighing heavily on me is the response from the community. It's truly gut-wrenching to see how many lives he touched, and how his loss is being felt far and wide. On the Gun Memorial website, 58 candles burn brightly in his memory, each one a testament to the love and respect people had for him. It’s moving to read the personal messages from friends and family, like the one that said, “I love you and miss you so much, my heart!! I will never forget you.”
It’s evident that Michael was cherished, and the pain of his passing extends beyond just immediate family—it’s the entire Hartford community that's grieving. As the investigation unfolds, I hope those who knew him find some solace in these collective memories and that the authorities can bring the perpetrator to justice swiftly. Holding the community in my thoughts during this difficult time.

Thank you so much for this beautiful message!! I was Michael’s girlfriend at the time of death and I am the one who wrote that message on the gun memorial. Unfortunately the gun memorial is ran by the police so all of those messages from me and his family have been completely deleted. Michael was an amazing man, he was kind, caring and had a big heart. I was with him on the day he died, it’s been 2 months and I am still grieving heavily. Again thank you for your kind words about Michael, he is missed deeply. ❤️
