I've been following the case of Jonathan Molina and it's really unsettling to see yet another young life cut short by gun violence. I grew up near the Florence Avenue area, and it’s always alarming when these tragedies happen so close to home. It makes you think about how vulnerable we all are just going about our daily lives.
One aspect that’s really bothering me is the lack of surveillance footage or witnesses coming forward. I know it's not the best-lit area, but given the time of night, I would have thought someone might have seen something. It's difficult to grasp how the shooter managed to flee unseen. I truly hope people who might have been in the vicinity find the courage to share anything they might know.
To Jonathan's family and friends, my thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time. It's unimaginable to think about the pain they must be feeling right now. Let's hope there's a breakthrough in the investigation soon. If anyone knows something, no matter how small, please speak up. Justice needs to be served, and those responsible should be held accountable for this senseless act.
