I keep thinking about the timing of everything that happened on that tragic night when Samuel Giles lost his life. It was just after 9 p.m.—the time when most folks are settling down for the evening, maybe having dinner or spending time with family. I can't help but wonder about the chaos and fear that erupted in that neighborhood. Manley Drive is just your typical residential area, where kids play and neighbors chat over fences. For something like this to happen there, it just feels so out of place. I hope the community can come together to support each other during this unbelievably difficult time. For anyone living nearby, how has this incident affected your sense of safety? My thoughts are with Samuel’s loved ones and the other victim recovering in the hospital.
