Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of Trevesene Ellis and wanted to discuss something that's been bothering me—how the system failed her and the other victims. It's incredibly frustrating to know that there were multiple warnings about Deangelo Martin, yet action was slow and insufficient. The fact that the DNA evidence was available and still nothing was done for so long is concerning.
You have to wonder if things could've been different for Trevesene and the other women if the warnings and evidence had been taken seriously from the start. I can't help but feel for the families who have lost loved ones due to these systemic lapses. It's like they were let down twice—first by Martin and then by a system that should have protected them.
I truly hope that this case serves as a wake-up call for necessary reforms within the police department. These mistakes can't keep happening at the cost of innocent lives. My thoughts are with Trevesene's family and all the others affected.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this too. How can we push for the changes that are so desperately needed?
