I've been thinking a lot about Corinna Dell Novis and how she was such a bright young woman with her whole future ahead of her. It's hard to imagine the fear and confusion she must have felt that day she was abducted. I read somewhere that she had moved from Idaho to pursue her dreams, and as someone who's also moved far from home to chase opportunities, that really hits close to home. The fact that her checkbook was found tossed in a dumpster is such a haunting detail. It seems so symbolic of how these monsters discarded her life. It’s like their evilness was evident in every little thing they did. I can't even begin to understand what her family went through during those dark days, especially as they waited and hoped for her safe return. It's important, I think, to keep talking about Corinna and remembering her as more than just a victim of those two. She was a daughter, a friend, and had so many dreams—it's just devastating that she encountered such evil. My heart really goes out to her family and loved ones who had to endure this nightmare.
