Hello everyone. It's incredibly distressing to learn about Sally Kandel's case and the apparent miscarriage of justice that may have followed her tragic death. What strikes me about this case is the role that forensic evidence played, particularly the bite mark analysis. At the time, it seemed like a reliable piece of evidence, but we've since learned that it can be quite unreliable and subjective.
It must be so agonizing for Sally's family to think that the person who did this to her might still be out there. It’s important to remember that forensic science, while vital, is not infallible and can evolve significantly over time. The fact that another individual's dentition seems to match the crime scene evidence is significant and shouldn't be ignored.
I can’t imagine what it must be like for Sally’s loved ones to endure these years of uncertainty and the potential wrongful imprisonment of Richard Milone. It's a haunting reminder that we must continually question and improve our criminal justice system to ensure that it truly serves justice. Hoping for clarity and closure for everyone involved.
