I've been diving deep into Janet Callies' disappearance and something that's been bugging me is the timing around when she was reported missing. It's crazy to think it took six whole days for it to be official. I understand things were different back in 1978, but given her plans that night to meet with her daughter, you'd think someone might have acted sooner, right? It makes me wonder how that delay impacted the investigation. If anyone has insight into how missing person cases were handled back then, especially in small towns like Grand Island, it would be really helpful. My heart goes out to her family. They must have gone through so much, and I hope they're still holding on to the chance for answers one day. It’s important we keep talking about Janet so that she isn't forgotten.
