I've been following Jamie Lusher's case for a while now, and I can't stop thinking about how important community vigilance can be. I mean, it was Rebecca Savarese's brave escape and decision to speak up that led to Lent's arrest and the confessions. What if more of us made it a point to look out for one another, to question things that seem off? Maybe stories like Jamie’s could take a different path. It's unsettling to think about how many other families might still be waiting for answers. I just wish there was more we could do to help bring closure to Jamie's family. It's hard to imagine their pain knowing that despite all efforts, there are still no physical remains to lay to rest.
