Hi all, I've been diving deeper into Donald Lake's case, and something that's been tugging at my mind is his relationship with Leonard. It seems that despite the apparent tension, Donald agreed to go on a road trip with Leonard, which is puzzling. Was there something about Leonard's invitation that seemed genuine or different to Donald? Family dynamics can be complex, and perhaps Donald hoped this trip might mend their relationship. It’s tragic to think that what might have been an attempt at reconciliation led to his disappearance. I feel for their mother, having to hold onto hope and then face such betrayal. Has anyone come across more personal accounts about Donald's perspective on his relationship with Leonard? It could shed more light on why he decided to go with him that December. Hoping for justice and answers for Donald and his family.

I've always been curious about the psychological aspects of these tragic cases, and Donald Lake's disappearance raises so many questions. The dynamic between siblings can be complex, and it seems there was a lot of underlying tension between Donald and Leonard. From what I've read, it seems Donald was such a gentle spirit, but being referred to as a "leech" by Leonard suggests there was a lot of resentment. It's chilling to think how that resentment could have escalated. I wonder if Leonard's military background had any impact on his behavior and relationship with Donald. They both served, albeit in different contexts and times, but did those experiences contribute to the paths they took? The real tragedy is all the lives that were affected, especially the Lakes’. Their mother reported Donald missing, which speaks volumes about her intuition and worry for her sons. My heart goes out to her, knowing one son disappeared and the other went down such a dark path. If anyone has insights into Leonard's early military records or psychological evaluations, it could help piece together more about his motives. Holding out hope that answers can still be found after all these years.
