I’ve been thinking a lot about Robin Stapley and what a remarkable young man he was, dedicating himself to making the community safer with the Guardian Angels. A 26-year-old with such commitment to positive change deserved so much more. It's chilling to consider how his life intersected with such darkness when he was trying to champion light. Seems like his sense of trust and wanting to help others led him to the wrong place, completely unaware of the evil plotting around him. It’s heartbreaking that his generosity and bravery were met with such unspeakable cruelty. Losing someone so young and full of promise is a weight I can’t even begin to comprehend. The fact that Robin’s remains were found alongside Lonnie Bond’s only adds to the tragedy, reminding us how many lives were shattered by Lake and Ng.
