It breaks my heart to think about Karen's little daughter growing up without her mom. She was just two years old when she lost Karen, who, by all accounts, was a bright and loving young woman. I can't imagine how difficult it's been for her family over the years, especially for her daughter coming to terms with her loss. Karen's murder and those of Kibbe's other victims show just how much pain a single person can cause. It's important to remember the lives altered forever by these senseless acts. I hope that sharing their stories helps keep their memories alive and continues to bring awareness to the impact that such violence has on families and communities. As difficult as these discussions are, they're essential in keeping the victim's stories at the forefront while also holding perpetrators accountable.
