I've been thinking a lot about Barry Billups's case and how frustrating it must be for his family to still have no answers after all these years. It’s really unsettling that no arrests have been made since that night in the Mark Twain neighborhood. I grew up not far from there, and it’s hard to imagine something like this happening so close to home without anyone being held accountable. It bothers me that someone out there knows something and hasn’t come forward. The community needs to keep talking about Barry and others like him. It feels like these cases get forgotten as time goes on, and that's such a disservice to the victims and their families. My heart goes out to his loved ones, especially his daughters and grandchildren who have had to navigate life without him. If anyone out there knows anything—no matter how small—please consider reaching out to law enforcement. Justice for Barry could finally bring some peace to a family that has suffered for too long.
