I can't shake the eerie feeling about the photograph that surfaced three years after Kami's disappearance. It just doesn't sit right with me. If investigators were 99.9% sure it was her, how has the case not taken a different direction? The fact that the phrases "naughty or nice" and "very open-minded and discreet" were written on it is so disturbing, especially considering her age. It's almost like it's a clue or part of a larger, sinister puzzle. Imagining the heartache her family must feel, constantly caught between hope and despair, is incredibly painful. If it were my loved one, I would desperately want every possibility explored. Has anyone else found it strange that no focused investigation into foul play has materialized despite this potentially crucial piece of evidence?

I was thinking about the case of Kami Vollendroff and Eugene Hyatt and how strange that photograph finding is. I just can’t wrap my head around it. If investigators were 99.9% sure that the girl in the photo was Kami, why didn’t that lead to more action? I mean, it feels like one of those situations where more digging is absolutely crucial. It must be so frustrating and painful for their families to have this piece of potential evidence dangling out there without any clear answers. I've always been puzzled by the initial assumption that they were swept out to sea. It’s definitely plausible considering the weather that day, but the absence of any evidence supporting it—like personal items washing up—raises a lot of questions for me. I wonder, do you all think it's possible that foul play wasn't properly investigated initially? Maybe something more could’ve been done once the photo came out. My heart truly goes out to their loved ones who are stuck in this limbo of not knowing. Curious if anyone else has thoughts on other avenues investigators might explore or if there's been any similar cases with developments after so many years.
