I've been following the Cheryl Lee Ray case, and something that keeps pulling at my thoughts is the role the community played in finally capturing Francisco del Junco. While a lot of attention is on the law enforcement's hard work, I think it's crucial to acknowledge the bravery of the woman who recognized Del Junco and took action by alerting the police. Imagine having gone through a traumatic assault and still finding the strength to step forward in such a crucial way. This act of courage not only brought justice for Cheryl but also potentially saved others from falling victim to similar horrors. It’s a powerful reminder of how our communities can come together to fight against such darkness. My heart goes out to Cheryl’s loved ones and all the families affected by these tragedies; no one should ever have to experience such loss.
