I've been doing some digging into the Duck Island murders, and there's something I find particularly unsettling about the timing of Frank and Katherine's attack. It happened almost a year after the first known attack on Vincent and Mary in 1938. I've been wondering if there were any other unreported attacks or near-misses in that time gap. It's chilling to think about how the community must have lived on edge, not knowing when or if the next attack would happen. The fact that Clarence Hill continued these attacks while serving in the Army adds another layer to this dark chapter. It’s a stark reminder of how vulnerable the victims were and how seemingly ordinary places can hold such dark secrets. My heart really goes out to the families who had to endure such a prolonged period of terror. I hope discussing this brings a sense of justice for those affected.
